This Directorate was guided in harmony with the principles of commercial economy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5d4463d5 e-flex e-con-boxed wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5d4463d5\" Ports and Railways Services of the Colony of Mozambique constituted an industrial company of the colonial state, who were incumbent among others, on the following functions: Promote and carry out the study and construction of the Ports and Railways, and the establishment of any other means of transport, in connection with railway operations; - Explore Commercially and industrially the Ports and Railways.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Administration of the Ports and Railways Services of the Colony was under the authority of a Governor General, and was carried by the following 1930, at the initiative of the Mozambique Railways Company, the Automotive Trucking Service was created. The existence of this fast, safe and efficient transportation service was crucial for agricultural development and trade promotion, bringing from inland to railway stations the products intended to supply the local markets and the export by sea, successfully replacing the rail transportation when traffic was not enough to warrant it.<\/p><p>The Directorate for Air Transport Operation (DETA), established in 1936, was also a Department of the Mozambique Railways Company, having been the first airline company established in this country to undertake regular routes in the national space and to the neighbouring countries.<\/p><p>Facing many difficulties, since there were no aircrafts or pilots, nor any experience in the management of air transport, the Mozambique Railways Company set up a well-grounded company, with long tradition of good service. A exist\u00eancia deste servi\u00e7o de transporte r\u00e1pido, seguro e econ\u00f3mico, foi determinante para o desenvolvimento agr\u00edcola e fomento do com\u00e9rcio, trazendo do interior para as esta\u00e7\u00f5es ferrovi\u00e1rias os produtos destinados ao abastecimento dos mercados locais e \u00e0 exporta\u00e7\u00e3o por via mar\u00edtima, substituindo, com sucesso, o transporte ferrovi\u00e1rio, quando o tr\u00e1fego n\u00e3o era suficiente para o justificar. A Direc\u00e7\u00e3o de Explora\u00e7\u00e3o dos Transportes A\u00e9reos (DETA), criada em 1936, era tamb\u00e9m uma divis\u00e3o dos Caminhos de Ferro de Mo\u00e7ambique, tendo sido a primeira companhia a\u00e9rea constitu\u00edda neste territ\u00f3rio a realizar carreiras regulares no espa\u00e7o nacional e para os pa\u00edses vizinhos. Enfrentando in\u00fameras dificuldades, j\u00e1 que n\u00e3o existiam aeronaves, pilotos nem qualquer experi\u00eancia na gest\u00e3o dos transportes a\u00e9reos, os Caminhos de Ferro de Mo\u00e7ambique montaram uma empresa s\u00f3lida, com larga tradi\u00e7\u00e3o de bem servir. Esta direc\u00e7\u00e3o orientava-se segundo os princ\u00edpios da economia comercial. Os Servi\u00e7os dos Portos e Caminhos de Ferro da Col\u00f3nia de Mo\u00e7ambique constitu\u00edam uma empresa industrial do Estado colonial, competindo-lhes, entre outras, as fun\u00e7\u00f5es de promover e executar o estudo e a constru\u00e7\u00e3o dos portos e caminhos-de-ferro, assim como o estabelecimento de quaisquer outros meios de transporte em liga\u00e7\u00e3o com as explora\u00e7\u00f5es ferrovi\u00e1rias; bem como explorar comercial e industrialmente os portos e caminhos-de-ferro. A Administra\u00e7\u00e3o dos Servi\u00e7os dos Portos e Caminhos de Ferro da Col\u00f3nia estava sob a autoridade de um governador-geral e era exercida pelos seguintes organismos: Conselho de Administra\u00e7\u00e3o; Conselho Fiscal; Direc\u00e7\u00e3o dos Servi\u00e7os dos Portos e Caminhos de Ferro em todas as redes; Divis\u00f5es ou inspec\u00e7\u00f5es de explora\u00e7\u00e3o nas respectivas redes; Divis\u00e3o de estudos e constru\u00e7\u00e3o. Em 1930, por iniciativa dos Caminhos de Ferro de Mo\u00e7ambique, foi criado o Servi\u00e7o de Camionagem Autom\u00f3vel. A exist\u00eancia deste servi\u00e7o de transporte r\u00e1pido, seguro e econ\u00f3mico, foi determinante para o desenvolvimento agr\u00edcola e fomento do com\u00e9rcio, trazendo do interior para as esta\u00e7\u00f5es ferrovi\u00e1rias os produtos destinados ao abastecimento dos mercados locais e \u00e0 exporta\u00e7\u00e3o por via mar\u00edtima, substituindo, com sucesso, o transporte ferrovi\u00e1rio, quando o tr\u00e1fego n\u00e3o era suficiente para o justificar. A Direc\u00e7\u00e3o de Explora\u00e7\u00e3o dos Transportes A\u00e9reos (DETA), criada em 1936, era tamb\u00e9m uma divis\u00e3o dos Caminhos de Ferro de Mo\u00e7ambique, tendo sido a primeira companhia a\u00e9rea constitu\u00edda neste territ\u00f3rio a realizar carreiras regulares no espa\u00e7o nacional e para os pa\u00edses vizinhos. Enfrentando in\u00fameras dificuldades, j\u00e1 que n\u00e3o existiam aeronaves, pilotos nem qualquer experi\u00eancia na gest\u00e3o dos transportes a\u00e9reos, os Caminhos de Ferro de Mo\u00e7ambique montaram uma empresa s\u00f3lida, com larga tradi\u00e7\u00e3o de bem servir.
