These multiple projects made this port one of the most modern in Africa, with highlights including the dredging of the canal, the construction of modern container and oil terminals, as well as the Beira-Machipanda rail link.<br>The access channel to the Port of Beira has a minimum width of 135 m in straight sections and at the Macuti curve the width varies from 200 to 300 m, while the length of the access channel is 28 km.<\/p><p>The depths of the quays vary from 10.00m in General Cargo including coal (TCC8), 12.00m in the container terminal, while the oil terminal is class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As part of the CFM privatization process, Cornelder B.V. (a Dutch company) was chosen to form a joint venture with CFM to operate the container and general cargo terminals at the Port of Beira. To this end, Cornelder de Mo\u00e7ambique SARL was created and registered, with Cornelder B.V. holding 70% of the shares and CFM holding 30%.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">The infrastructure comprises a pier measuring 645 meters in length and a depth of 12 meters along the projected pier.<br>The terminal has two ship-to-shore container gantry cranes with a 36-meter reach and the capacity to handle containers of 20, 40 and 45 feet, as well as a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tons at the hook and 40 tons at the spreader. A rail-mounted gantry crane for loading and unloading railcars is operating in the container enclosure, which covers a total area of \u200b\u200b200,000 square meters.<\/p><p>The facility has 144 reference points and a granite storage area. There are also two covered warehouses, each covering an area of \u200b\u200bapproximately 11,000 square meters. The terminal's projected capacity is 100,000 TEU per year.<\/p><p>Equipped with modern equipment and more than 30 computers, conditions are created for greater control, speed and efficiency in cargo Estes m\u00faltiplos projectos fizeram deste porto um dos mais modernos de \u00c1frica, sendo de destacar a dragagem do canal, a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de modernos terminais de contentores e petr\u00f3leos, assim como a liga\u00e7\u00e3o ferrovi\u00e1ria Beira-Machipanda.O canal de acesso ao Porto da Beira tem uma largura m\u00ednima de 135m em sec\u00e7\u00f5es rectas e na curva de Macuti a largura varia de 200 a 300 m, enquanto o comprimento do canal de acesso \u00e9 de 28 km. Quanto as profundidades dos cais variam de 10.00m na Carga Geral inclusive a de carv\u00e3o (TCC8), 12.00m na terminal de contentores, enquanto a terminal de petr\u00f3leos \u00e9 de 13,50m. 0 Terminais de Linhas F\u00e9rreas 0 m De profundidade m\u00e1xima 0 m De largura m\u00e1xima Terminal de Contentores e Prop\u00f3sitos M\u00faltiplos No \u00e2mbito do processo de privatiza\u00e7\u00e3o dos CFM, a Cornelder B.V (empresa holandesa) foi escolhida para constituir uma joint venture com os CFM para a explora\u00e7\u00e3o dos terminais de contentores e de carga geral no Porto da Beira. Para o efeito, foi criada e registada a empresa Cornelder de Mo\u00e7ambique SARL, cabendo 70% das ac\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e0 Cornelder B.V e 30% aos CFM. As infra-estruturas comportam um cais com 645 metros de comprimento e uma profundidade junto ao cais projectada em 12 metros.O terminal possui dois p\u00f3rticos porta-contentores navio-terra com 36 metros de alcance e capacidade de manuseamento de contentores de 20, 40 e 45 p\u00e9s, assim como um m\u00e1ximo de capacidade de eleva\u00e7\u00e3o de 50 toneladas no gancho e 40 no distribuidor. Um p\u00f3rtico montado sobre carris para carga e descarga de vag\u00f5es est\u00e1 a funcionar no recinto de contentores, que cobre uma \u00e1rea total de 200.000 metros quadrados. O recinto possui 144 pontos de refer\u00eancia e uma \u00e1rea para armazenamento de granito. Existem tamb\u00e9m dois armaz\u00e9ns cobertos, com uma \u00e1rea de cerca de 11.000 metros quadrados. A capacidade projectada para o terminal \u00e9 de 100.000 TEU por ano. A \u00e1rea de armazenagem compreende cinco armaz\u00e9ns cobertos, com uma capacidade total de 15.000 metros quadrados, para al\u00e9m de amplo espa\u00e7o pavimentado. O equipamento m\u00f3vel \u00e9 composto por numerosas empilhadeiras ligeiras e pesadas, cavalos mec\u00e2nicos de reboque e atrelados. Existe tamb\u00e9m um descarregador pneum\u00e1tico para cereais, com capacidade de descarga avaliada em 200 toneladas por hora. Esta infra-estrutura est\u00e1 equipada com c\u00e2maras frigor\u00edficas com capacidade de 1.100 toneladas e 490 Toneladas, respectivamente, bem como forklifts el\u00e9ctricos para manuseamento e acondicionamento da carga. Terminal de Combust\u00edveis Localizado no cais 12, o moderno terminal de petr\u00f3leos, inaugurado em 1994, tem capacidade para carregar e descarregar petroleiros de 500 a 50.000 DWT e de 500 a 2.500 DWT, respectivamente. O sistema do terminal \u00e9 composto basicamente por quatro oleodutos: um para Fuel, tr\u00eas para Diesel e um para Jet Oil e Petr\u00f3leos.
